Capital Budget Guidelines FY 2011
- Maintain a physical environment in our school buildings which is conducive to teaching and learning.
- Maintain educational and technology equipment, facilities, grounds and building
services.
- Maintain an inventory of the durable1 educational equipment needed for students to experience the curriculum recognizing expanding enrollment.
- Evaluate our current inventory of computer hardware and peripherals and provide funds to increase, upgrade, and/or replace as necessary and consistent with the long range technology plan.
- Support funding of those items and services required to maintain, repair or recondition our school buildings, grounds and equipment, especially in the areas of life safety and accessibility.
- Provide and furnish appropriate educational spaces in order to maintain class size
guidelines, to support the quality of learning experiences and to meet program
needs.
- Meet legal mandates concerning accessibility to the curriculum and compliance with
building codes as necessary.
- Develop and maintain an inventory of basic building materials and equipment.
