Elementary School Orchestra

Elementary orchestra is a beginning string ensemble that meets once a week before school. Each year the day may vary according to building needs and the availability of teachers.

Students may join orchestra on the recommendation of their private after school string teachers and after passing the entrance requirements. Go to the Lessons section for the application form if your private teacher does not have it. The entry form should be filled out by the private teacher and submitted to the orchestra teacher for each building. Generally, students enter orchestra in grades 3 or 4, however exceptions are made for younger students who show advanced levels of development.

All Town Orchestra is also available to any student involved with Elementary orchestra. It includes students from across the district and meets once a month.  The orchestra teacher for your building has this information.
